Color Profiles
To achieve the best possible results from a digital image file, LicenseStream recommends that you embed a color profile within your images. A color profile defines the color within an image file so that it can be displayed or reproduced accurately. If you're unsure of which color profile to use, we suggest Adobe 1998, which has become the industry standard for digitally shot images.
For scanned images, you should create and embed a custom profile rather than use a generic standard. This approach will allow the file to be displayed and output accurately. It is not a good idea to embed a profile that has not been used during the image's production process.
Important: LicenseStream currently does not support grayscale mode, therefore please save your B&W images as RGB.
Please note: Most Web Browsers are not color managed. You can spend time and money calibrating your camera, monitor and printer. However, when you upload an image to the web, the color might seem "off" for the simple reason that most browsers are not color managed applications.
