LicenseStream Creator Gains Momentum with Leading Photography Associations
ImageSpan Teams with NPPA, PMA and ASMP to Offer Discounts on Key LicenseStream Creator Services to nearly 35,000 Imaging Professionals
SAUSALITO, CA – February 24, 2009 — ImageSpan Inc., the creator of LicenseStream, the market-leading licensing automation platform for all media types and businesses, today announced that it is building momentum within the imaging community by teaming with the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), PMA – The Worldwide Community of Imaging Associations, and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) to offer discounts on key LicenseStream Creator services. Together, the premier photographers and imaging organizations represent a reach of nearly 35,000 creative professionals.
ImageSpan and the three imaging organizations will offer discounts on ImageSpan's LicenseStream Creator and LicenseStream Creator PRO services, as well as on LicenseStream storage upgrades. The special offers make it easy and affordable for photographers and imaging industry professionals to access an innovative set of services, including automated content licensing and royalty settlement, that can help extend their reach online and grow their revenues. In exchange, the organizations will regularly promote ImageSpan's LicenseStream Creator services to their membership.
"We are very excited to support these photography and imaging professionals with LicenseStream Creator services that provide everything they need to promote, monitor and make money from their digital assets," said Iain Scholnick, chief executive officer, ImageSpan. "LicenseStream Creator makes photos, videos and other creative work intelligent, so that it flows freely across the Web with defined ownership, rights and restrictions, enabling flexible pricing based on use. With these powerful services, imaging professionals can raise the profile of their creative portfolios online to accelerate distribution of their work, increase the pace of transactions, and drive additional revenues."
The NPPA, an organization of more than 9,000 top visual journalists worldwide, was the first major photography organization to team up with ImageSpan.
"ImageSpan's LicenseStream Creator brings to NPPA's membership a powerful package of innovative services that opens their content for business by helping them to license, track and make money from it," said Jim Straight, Executive Director, NPPA. "By helping them grow their creative profiles online, these services will help them both create new market opportunities and grow relationships with the clients they already have."
PMA with ImageSpan will promote LicenseStream Creator to its 18,500 imaging professionals in 100-plus countries who actively contribute to the expanding $83 billion imaging industry. PMA is an 84-year-old organization that includes photographers, photo retailers and processors, manufacturers, commercial imaging labs, sports and event photography, custom picture frame shops, and scrapbook retailers.
"LicenseStream Creator offers a comprehensive solution that will resonate with our members who seek a way to bolster the visibility of their content on the Web, while giving them more control over their creative portfolios to maximize the value of their digital assets," said Ted Fox, Chief Executive Officer, PMA.
Eugene Mopsik, Executive Director, ASMP, says that ImageSpan's LicenseStream Creator services address many of the challenges faced on a daily basis by his organization's more than 7,300 members who are publication photographers.
"ImageSpan offers professional photographers a powerful combination of innovative services that help them quickly and easily publish their work online safely," said Mopsik. "As a result, it frees them to focus on what they love best: producing innovative, powerful content and on getting that content to market fast."
