Step 1: Create an Account
First, decide whether you'd like the complete LicenseStream Business Edition service or Content Tracker. After a brief assessment we can help you determine what's right for you.
If you are an individual user Content Tracker is included in LicenseStream Creator PRO.
Step 2: Provide Content
Once your LicenseStream account is created you can immediately start providing your content. Either you or LicenseStream can host content. Our team will help walk you through the process.
Step 3: Watermark Content
Digimarc embeds an imperceptible, persistent digital watermark into all your images that communicates copyright ownership as they travel across the Web, letting potential buyers know who you are and how to find you. Watermarked content is now ready to be safely published to the Web or major search engines.
Step 4: Monitor Your Content with our Dashboard
Content Tracker finds your content across the web on public websites. As content tracking reports are generated, the information will be viewable in the Content Tracker dashboard and non-authorized uses of content are flagged.
Step 5: Automated Remedies Make Infringements Easy to Resolve
If your work is used without permission, LicenseStream provides automated tools to communicate directly with the owner of the infringing site. Select the remedy options that are right for your content. For example, you can request that the user:
- License My Content – request that the user appropriately license your content and pay any fees and penalties.
- Credit My Content – request that the user properly provide attribution and link back to your gallery or website to generate traffic.
- Issue a takedown notice.
In instances where the user is non-responsive to remedies requests the matter can be escalate to "collections" where an offline collections process will begin.
